State Representative Kyle Brown - House District 12

Boulder and Broomfield Counties

CO Rep. Kyle Brown

Representative Kyle Brown’s parents were drawn to Boulder County by the quality of life and the promise of new beginnings. He and his wife Kate attended high school together in the area, but only met after each moved to Boston years later. They married and returned to Louisville to raise their kids and be close to their families. 

Since receiving his PhD in Genetics from Harvard, he has devoted his career to public service, serving as a senior advisor to senior U.S. Senators and two Governors.  He has worked to create and implement policies that expand access to quality, affordable health care while serving as a Deputy Commissioner at the Colorado Division of Insurance.

He served as an advisor for both the Colorado Dept. of Public Safety and the Colorado Dept. of Public Health and Environment during the pandemic to expand COVID-19 testing and develop state testing strategy. Finally, He served as a City Council member for the City of Louisville from 2020 until taking office as a state Representative in 2023.

State Senator Larry Liston - Senate District 10

Senator Larry Liston has lived in his Senate District for over 50 years. He retired in 2008 after 33 years as vice-president for the Royal Bank of Canada. He has served twelve years in the Colorado General Assembly as a State Representative for House District 16 and was elected State Senator, District 10 in November 2020.

State Senator Liston has consistently been recognized over the years for his leadership and believes in limited government, strong national defense, and our men and women in law enforcement. He is a strong advocate for free-market businesses that create jobs and a future for the citizens of our communities.

He is a long-standing member of the Downtown Colorado Springs Rotary Club, active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Colorado Springs, enjoys golfing, hiking, and reading books on history. 

State Senator Cleave Simpson - Senate District 6

Alamosa, Archuleta, Conejos, Costilla, Dolores, La Plata, Mineral, Montezuma, Montrose, Ouray, Rio Grande, Saguache, San Juan, and San Miguel Counties

CO Senator Cleave Simpson

Senator Cleave Simpson serves as the general manager of the Rio Grande Water Conservation District and as a past chairman of the Adams State University Board of Trustees.  Simpson’s primary focus in the Senate is rural Colorado's relevance, resilience, and prosperity.

 A fourth-generation San Luis Valley farmer and rancher, Simpson has a deep understanding of the water issues facing Colorado’s agriculture and rural communities. He believes leadership through a thoughtful, collaborative approach is necessary to provide solutions to the pressing needs across Senate District 35 and the state of Colorado.

Simpson serves as a representative on the Rio Grande Basin Roundtable and is a Roundtable representative to the statewide Interbasin Compact Committee. He is active in the Colorado Water Congress and has served on the Farm Service Agency County Committee, Alamosa County Planning Commission, Alamosa Mosquito Control District, and Alamosa School District Accountability Committee. He is a member of Action Colorado and the Colorado Farm Bureau.
